KUCHING, 11 October 2025 – Padang Merdeka, Kuching came alive with music and cheers as the Rakyat Concert 2025 was held in grand celebration of the 79th Birthday of the Governor of Sarawak.

The large-scale concert was organized by the Sarawak State supported of the Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry &Performing Arts Sarawak. YB Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah oversaw the overall celebration, while YB Datuk Michael Tiang was specifically responsible for the coordination of the Rakyat Concert. The Sarawak Arts Council (MSS) played a key role in managing and coordinating the event to ensure a smooth and successful execution.

The Rakyat Concert 2025 showcased an exciting lineup of renowned Malaysian artists and talented local performers who entertained thousands of attendees. Among the highlights were performances by Aman Ra, Amir Masdi, and Exists, along with Pinomal Band, Afiq Black, Adellyna Yang, Apet Hafizt, Roxy Izxy, and Mawat. The stage was further enlivened by Bungan Creative, Agura Band, dancers from the MSS Performing Arts Guidance Class, KINATE Dance Group, and Kasuma Tari, with DJ Keeyuushe closing the night with an energetic EDM set.

More than just a night of entertainment, the Rakyat Concert 2025 served as a celebration of unity and appreciation for local artistic talent in Sarawak. The event reflected the state government’s commitment to strengthening the creative industry while fostering pride in the richness and diversity of Sarawak’s cultural arts.
