MSS Strategic Plan Workshop for 2025–2030 - 19 Aug 2025

On 15 May 2025, the MSS Strategic Plan Workshop for 2025–2030 was held at Damai Lagoon Resort to outline a more sustainable and competitive direction for MSS in line with PCDS 2030 and the 13th Malaysia Plan (RMK-13).

The first day of the workshop focused on gathering ideas, perspectives, and collaborative spirit from all staff in a conducive and productive environment. The plans formulated are expected to be translated into concrete actions that deliver a positive impact.

MAKSAK Medic Care Medical Card and the MAKSAK Optional Scheme - 19 Aug 2025

Kuching, 23 May 2025 – A MAKSAK Medic Care Medical Card and the MAKSAK Optional Scheme was held at the Dewan Tari, Sarawak Arts Council (MSS). The session was delivered by the MAKSAK Liaison Officer specifically for MSS staff.

The programme aimed to raise awareness on the importance of healthcare and the privileges available to government employees through the schemes offered. Through the informative presentation, participants gained a clearer understanding of the benefits provided and how they can be utilised for the wellbeing of both themselves and their families.

Kuching, 29 July 2025 – The Acting Chief Executive Officer together with the Heads of Units of the Sarawak Arts Council (MSS) paid a courtesy visit to The Honourable Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts and Chairman of the MSS Board of Directors, at the Ministry’s office.

The visit was held to discuss and present MSS’s programme and activity plans, in line with initiatives to preserve and promote the arts and culture as well as to strengthen Sarawak’s cultural heritage.

Through this meeting, MSS had the opportunity to receive direct feedback from The Honourable, which is deeply appreciated and will be carefully reviewed and acted upon through detailed follow-up measures.
